A 26-year-old Makiki man allegedly broke into his neighbor’s apartment and was arrested when he returned to the scene of the crime Sunday and got into an argument with the homeowner.

Police said the suspect allegedly broke the window of a Makiki apartment around 6:40 a.m. Sunday, but two people who live there confronted him after he entered the apartment. The suspect  escaped through the broken window.

At 11:40 p.m. Sunday, police responded to an argument at the same Makiki address at 11:40 p.m. and arrested the suspect for unauthorized entry and first-degree criminal property damage.
