Honolulu police report numerous purse and wallet snatchings

Police are warning the public to keep an eye on their belongings after numerous purse and wallet snatchings at various shopping locations on Oahu.

In an alert posted on the department’s Facebook, police said thieves have recently taken items from shopping carts, baby strollers, and counter tops at unnamed locations while the victims were distracted. The thieves either walked or drove by and took the items out of carts while the victims were shopping or putting their purchases into their vehicles.
