A pair of moderate quakes struck in different regions of the Pacific on Sunday, but neither posed a tsunami threat to Hawaii.
A magnitude-7.4 earthquake occurred off the coast of Central America at 6:37 p.m. Hawaii time.
The temblor struck about 105 miles south-southeast of San Salvador, El Salvador, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Earlier, a magnitude-6.4 earthquake struck below the Molucca Sea near eastern Indonesia, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reported. The quake hit at 5:05 a.m. Hawaii time.
Meanwhile, a small, magnitude-3.0 temblor hit Hawaii island at about 2:10 a.m., with an epicenter about three miles south-southeast of Puu Oo Crater at a depth of 5 miles, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The earthquake followed several small quakes Saturday.
