Hyundai’s new "Road to Kapalua" Facebook sweepstakes kicked off this week and runs through Halloween.
Golf fans can win a trip to the 2013 Hyundai Tournament of Champions at Kapalua by "liking" Hyundai’s Equus Facebook page and filling out a short entry form. One fan will win a trip to watch the PGA Tour’s first event of the year at Kapalua’s Plantation Course.

» Hawaii’s Xyra Suyetsugu is 10th after the first two rounds of the LPGA Qualifying Tournament’s first stage, being played in Florida. Suyetsugu opened with rounds of 72-70. The top 60 and ties after Friday’s final round advance to next month’s second stage.
» University of Hawaii-Hilo sophomore Erika Morihiro earned 2011-12 National Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar honors. The minimum cumulative GPA to qualify is 3.50. Morihiro, from Manila, was one of 585 female golfers in Divisions I, II and III to be recognized.
