Kapi‘olani executives to try hand at car sales
Managers from Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children are taking the place of sales staff at Honolulu Ford Lincoln from 2 to 9 p.m. today in a fundraiser.
Management executives working the sales floor in the fundraising partnership between Honolulu Ford Lincoln and the Kapi‘olani Health Foundation will include Chief Operating Officer Martha Smith and pediatric intensive care unit manager Sue Bankhead.
Profits from all new vehicle sales during the "Kars for Kids" event will be donated toward a new neonatal intensive care unit and pediatric intensive care unit, which make up phase one of the campaign to rebuild the hospital.
1931 Packard, Kia star during Auto Lunch Bunch
A 1931 Packard Dual Cowl Phaeton from Bob Bosley’s collection, considered one of the finest classic cars in Hawaii, will be part of the Kars at the Kurb display when the Auto Lunch Bunch meets at noon Tuesday at the Waikiki Yacht Club. Another such car sold at auction at Christie’s for $134,500 in 1995.
A 2013 Kia Optima SXL also will be part of the display with Aloha Kia founder and President Bill van den Hurk as guest speaker, discussing what it was like to bring an unknown brand to Hawaii 15 years ago. DataHouse, a Hawaii-based technology and software development company, has appointed Hanwook Kim as its president. Before joining the company, he was director of marketing strategy and analytics at Hawaiian Airlines.
Scott Bradley has joined the board of trustees of Hawaii Preparatory Academy. He is president of Bradley Properties and co-managing director of RT, LLC Investment Co. Bradley is the former co-managing director of Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties.
