Wilson trails by 14 in PGA Tour Q-School

South Korea’s Meen Whee Kim fired a 9-under-par 63 Thursday for a one-shot lead after two rounds of the six-round PGA Tour Qualifying School in La Quinta, Calif.

Former Kaneohe resident Dean Wilson had a 1-over 73 for a 145 total, 14 strokes behind Kim.

The top 25 and ties receive 2013 PGA Tour cards, while the next 50 and ties earn Web.com Tour cards.

Kaneko, Kono over par in LPGA Q-School

Honolulu’s Ayaka Kaneko and Stephanie Kono posted over-par rounds Thursday and trail Moriya Jutanugarn by 11 and 14 strokes, respectively, after the second day of the LPGA Tour Qualifying School at Daytona Beach, Fla.

Kaneko has a 36-hole total of 145 after a round of 1-over 73, while Kono is at 148 after a 6-over 78.
