Wounded Warrior softballers to play here
The Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Team will make its Hawaii debut in January with games against military and celebrity teams.
The team is comprised of veterans and active duty soldiers who lost limbs while serving in the military. The WWAST will play military teams in a doubleheader at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam’s Millican Field on Jan. 7. Single games are set for Fort Shafter on Jan. 8 and at Millican Field Jan. 10.
The team will also play at Central Oahu Regional Park on Jan. 9 against a Veterans Affairs team and Jan. 11 against a celebrity team. Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m.
