Dior dermatologist offers advice at Neiman Marcus
Dr. Ava Shamban of Dior Beauty, known as "the extreme makeover dermatologist," is coming to Honolulu to share skin-care tips during "The Dior Beauty Event" at Neiman Marcus. The event runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today through Saturday, with Sheba Vignale performing makeovers all three days and Shamban in the store Friday.
Shamban is a board-certified dermatologist and assistant clinical professor of dermatology at the University of California at Los Angeles’ Geffen School of Medicine. She operates two medical practices, AVA MD, in Santa Monica and Beverly Hills.
Shamban is also the resident expert on the daytime talk show "The Doctors" and is frequently featured on "Good Morning America," "The Early Show" and "The View."

Trunk show to launch jewelry line’s sixth year
Ki·ele, the jewelry line created by Hawaii designer Marylea Conrad, is marking its fifth anniversary with a trunk show of new spring designs and initial necklaces from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Nordstrom.

Wedding website helps couples calculate costs
Brides looking for vendors, tips and resources for Hawaii weddings can get a quick overall view via a new website, www.happilyeverafterhawaii.com. The site launched last fall, allowing visitors to start their search for caterers, clergy, locations, entertainers and other wedding service providers.
Anyone can browse the listings. Registering with the site grants access to a budget calculator that allows couples to determine their potential expenditures.
