New planes will grace Hawaii skies
Commuters between Oahu and the islands of Lanai and Molokai have something to look forward to this summer: the inauguration by Hawaiian Airlines of a turboprop operation called ‘Ohana.
The new service will give those commuters an alternative to Island Air, also a turboprop operation, and possibly result in lower fares, which is what usually happens when competition is introduced.
Another benefit will be the hiring of about 100 employees by Empire Air, the Idaho-based company that will be operating ‘Ohana under contract to Hawaiian Air, pending approval by the Federal Aviation Administration.

The basketball team will no longer be the "Rainbow Warriors," or the baseball team the Rainbows, which was the identity for all UH athletes for most of the last century. The women athletes will remain Rainbow Wahine. Does that mean "Go ‘Bows" will be out of place at men’s events?
