The Sheraton Hawaii Bowl will remain on Christmas Eve this year, it was announced Wednesday.
The Dec. 24 game matching representatives from the Mountain West Conference and Conference USA will be played at 3 p.m. at Aloha Stadium.
It will be the 12th Hawaii Bowl and ninth on Christmas Eve.
"We are excited to pair our warm weather with some great football for the entire nation to view on ESPN," David Matlin, Sheraton Hawaii Bowl Executive Director, said in a release. "While mainland families are enjoying their Christmas Eve traditions in frigid winter conditions, they can escape from the weather for a few hours for football in paradise."
The University of Hawaii will represent the MWC in the game if the Warriors win six or more of their 12 games to become bowl eligible.
The game is owned and operated by ESPN Regional Television, a subsidiary of ESPN, which will air the game.
