Grahamm Wiest tossed eight scoreless innings of two-hit ball and Michael Lorenzen earned his 13th save as No. 4 Fullerton defeated Hawaii 3-0 on Sunday to win the series at Les Murakami Stadium.

Wiest walked one and struck out five to improve to 7-2 as the Titans shut out an opponent for the ninth time this year.

Matt Chapman doubled and scored twice and Lorenzen went 3-for-4 with a run at the plate for Fullerton (36-7, 12-3 Big West), which leads the conference by one game over Cal State Northridge, which swept Pacific.

Kalei Hanawahine and Marc Flores each singled for the Rainbows (9-29, 4-11), who are a game up on Pacific and UC Davis, which are tied for last in the league.

Corey MacDonald (4-5) took the loss after throwing a solid eight innings. He allowed three runs on seven hits with two walks and a strikeout.

Hawaii will play 10 of its final 13 games on the road, beginning with a three-game series at Pacific beginning Friday.
