City lifeguards on Saturday repeatedly warned these men to get off the ledge near the Halona Blowhole and move to safety. The men failed to listen and one was almost sucked into the blowhole.
The Division of Ocean Safety released a series of photos taken Saturday that lifeguards said show five men standing on a ledge next to the Halona Blow Hole as large waves come ashore. One of the waves knocked some of the men down and nearly swept them into the ocean, lifeguards said. (Courtesy Division of Ocean Safety)
