Inouye gets another military honor
Naming a Navy destroyer the USS Daniel Inouye, to be sailing in five years, is fitting, as the esteemed U.S. senator over decades was a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor for his heroism in World War II, losing his right arm in combat. He died in December at age 88.

Vog is breathtaking, unfortunately
Vog is nothing to take lightly. The U.S. Geological Survey informs us that it results when sulfur dioxide and other volcanic gases mix and interact in the air.

So if your throat is scratchy or your eyes are burning, now you know the names of the guilty.
Blow, tradewinds, blow.
