Surfer drowned at Ala Moana Bowls, medical examiner says
The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed that the 49-year-old Honolulu man who died last week while surfing at Ala Moana Bowls died from an accidental drowning.
The victim, identified as Richard Sasaki, was pulled from the water on June 6 and transported in critical condition to a hospital, where he later died.
