The "Joey Estrella Retirement Roast," a benefit dinner honoring the retiring Hawaii Hilo baseball coach, is scheduled for June 28 at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel.
Individual tickets are $75, with corporate tables of six and eight available. The event begins at 6 p.m.
Proceeds benefit the Joe and Harriet Estrella Scholarship Endowment, named for Estrella’s parents. Annual scholarships will be awarded to student-athletes from the Big Island who are interested in playing baseball for the Vulcans.

Kamehameha’s Clivio wins national award
Kamehameha Schools trainer Cynthia Clivio was awarded the Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer award by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association for her "outstanding service and dedication" to the profession.
Clivio has been the Kamehameha trainer for 26 years at the Kapalama campus. She played an integral role in starting the athletic health care trainer program in 10 Hawaii public high schools in 1993. The program has grown to include 75 full-time athletic trainers in public high schools throughout the state.
She has also held positions such as the Hawaii Athletic Trainers’ Association president from 1998 to 2003.
Clivio will receive her national award in Las Vegas later this month.
Shooting sports fair at Koko Head
The 20th Shooting Sports Fair, which includes displays and opportunities to try various shooting sports, is Saturday and Sunday at the Koko Head Shooting Complex.
Archery, cowboy firearms, skeet, metallic silhouette, air guns and hunting firearms are among the activities offered. Admission is free, with scrip sold to try the various shooting sports.
Eye and hearing protections are mandatory and will be available for purchase. The fair runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day. For more information, log on to khsc.info.
