Indigo stages soft re-opening following damaging fire

Indigo owner and chef Glenn Chiu announced that the restaurant has reopened for lunch and dinner service following an extensive fire in March.

Lunch is served Tuesday through Friday, while Indigo offers dinner service Tuesday through Saturday.

In a statement, he asked for customers’ patience as chefs Robert McGee and Dave Cruz work to refine the dining experience.

The next phase of the newly reopened operation will include so-called “pop-ups,” with menus prepared by guest chefs.

A three-alarm fire in March caused by an electrical outlet malfunction resulted in an estimated $100,000 damage to the building at 1121 Nuuanu Ave.
