Honolulu police investigated the scene of the critical pedestrian-trolley accident overnight on Ala Moana Boulevard.

A man died Saturday afternoon at Queen’s Medical Center after he was hit by a trolley near Ala Moana Beach Park Thursday night.

The victim was taken to Queen’s in critical condition after the accident. Police said he appeared to be in his 20s.

The man was crossing the intersection at Ala Moana Boulevard and Kamakee Street when he was hit by an E Noa Tours trolley traveling Ewa at 10:55 p.m. Police said speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors on the part of the trolley driver, a 39-year-old Kaneohe man.
