Officer injured, 2 men stabbed in large Kalihi fight
A police officer was injured and two men were stabbed during a large fight, involving about 50 people, in Kalihi Saturday night, Honolulu police and paramedics said.
Police are searching for suspects in the assault on an officer and stabbings.
The police officer, a 51-year-old man, was struck on the head with an object and taken to the hospital in stable condition, according to an Emergency Medical Services report. Police said he was trying to disperse the crowd when he was struck from behind.
Officers responded to the fight near 1249 N. School St. and found the injured victims, a 21-year-old men and a 25-year-old man. Police said the 21-year-old victim was stabbed and the 25-year-old victim sustained a puncture wound to his shoulder.
Both men were in stable condition, EMS said.
Paramedics initially reported that three men were stabbed in the incident at about 10:43 p.m.

Witnesses said they saw people throwing punches, rocks and pieces of wood, and getting baseball bats.
Sean Tuuero said the first police officer to arrive had to wait for more officers to arrive. “He can’t do anything by himself for a while,” he said.
Witnesses said the fight broke out in the middle of Aupuni Street, just off of School Street.
Tuuero said he didn’t know what started the fight but that “it’s always over there,” adding that it’s not the first time fights have broken out in the area.
