Flowers were placed near where the body of a man was found Friday night on Kalanianaole Highway in Waimanalo. His death is being investigated as a possible hit-and-run accident.

Police are renewing their search for witnesses in the death of a man whose body was found on Kalanianole Highway in Waimanalo in April.

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department issued a press release on the case today saying they need the public’s help to find any witnesses in the incident. The case was initially being investigated as a hit-and-run.

The body of Marc Bucho, 42, was found on April 19, at approximately 8 p.m. He was found lying on Kalanianole Highway north of Hilu Street with head injuries. "A nearby resident heard a loud thud, looked out her window, and observed the male in the roadway," the press release said.

An investigator with the Medical Examiner’s Office said Bucho’s friends had reported he was homeless.

Bucho’s brother in Alaska said he had been a heavy equipment operator, but could not work because of a medical condition.
