Traffic stop leads to stolen car charge for man in Waianae
Police arrested and charged a 38-year-old man in Waianae at a traffic a stop after discovering he was driving a stolen car.
When police stopped Stanley Edward on Papaya Road for a traffic violation at 2:38 p.m. Monday, a check of the vehicle revealed it had been reported stolen, police said.
Police also discovered Edward, who did not have a local address, did not have a driver’s license.
Edward was charged with charged with unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle and is being held on $20,000 bail.
