USC quarterback Max Wittek, who is seeking to transfer, is visiting Hawaii this weekend.
Wittek and the Rainbow Warriors finalized travel arrangements Thursday afternoon.
Wittek is scheduled to earn a bachelor’s degree in psychology in May. Under NCAA rules, a graduate is eligible to transfer and play immediately without having to redshirt. Wittek has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
Wittek does not appear to have a significant role in new USC coach Steve Sarkisian’s plans.
He took a recruiting trip to Texas two weeks ago.
Wittek is not expected to make a decision until the end of this semester, when interested teams’ spring practices and evaluations have been completed. The Rainbow Warriors’ spring training runs from April 1 through the April 26 spring game.
Sean Schroeder, who started the second half of UH’s 2013 season, has completed his eligibility. Taylor Graham, Ikaika Woolsey, Jeremy Higgins and Adonis Phillips are UH’s current quarterbacks. Graham is recovering from surgery on his left (non-throwing) shoulder.
Beau Reilly, who recently returned from a two-year church mission, joins the Warriors this summer.
