Man hurt seriously in suspected shooting
A 33-year-old man was seriously injured in an apparent shooting at 8:09 a.m. Sunday at the Banyan Street Manor public housing complex in Kalihi.
Paramedics transported the man, who was in serious but stable condition, to a hospital.
Kalihi resident is arrested in robbery
Police have charged a 38-year-old Kalihi man who allegedly used force to rob another man Saturday afternoon. The incident occurred in Kalihi just after 2 p.m. when the man allegedly took property from a 37-year-old.
Police arrested Jack Roberts about two hours later near Kalihi and School streets. He was charged Sunday with second-degree robbery. His bail was set at $15,000.
Man accused of driving stolen vehicle
Police have charged a 23-year-old man who was seen operating a stolen vehicle. According to police, the vehicle was stolen Feb. 3.
Wayne Leroy Paakaula allegedly was driving the vehicle Friday and arrested. Paakaula, who does not have a local address, was charged Saturday with unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle. His bail was set at $20,000.
