Kaneohe man injured in motorcycle crash
A 50-year-old Kaneohe man was critically injured in a motorcycle crash Wednesday near the Waiahole Poi Factory.
Police Lt. Robert Towne said the man told police he was Kahuku-bound on Kamehameha Highway at about 2:30 p.m. when a car heading the opposite way crossed the solid centerline and caused him to lose control of the motorcycle and slide into the guardrail. The car left the scene, police said.
A passer-by drove the victim to Castle Medical Center, Towne said. The man was in critical condition with head and internal injuries but was able to talk to police, Towne said.
