Noah Sakatani pitched five shutout innings and allowed just one hit as Kaiser blanked Kalani 11-0 in an OIA baseball game at Central Oahu Regional Park on Saturday. The game was called after five innings due to the mercy rule.
Kaiser jumped to an early lead, scoring nine runs in the first inning. Kelan Yoshioka led off with a triple and scored on Michael Austin’s single. A two-run double by Shawn Miyashiro gave Kaiser a 3-0 lead, and the Cougars never looked back. Kaiser’s Aaron Oda and Kamalu Simeona finished with three hits apiece.
Kalani’s Dallas Asuncion, who took the loss, gave up six hits and seven runs in the first.
