Hawaii island police are looking for two people captured on surveillance cameras in an alleged theft and assault at a Hilo department store last week.
A woman was seen taking an item from the store and walking out without paying at 12:09 p.m. Friday at a Puainako Street mall, police said.
Store employees went to confront the woman, when a man outside of the store threw one of the workers to the ground, causing head and rib injuries, police said. The pair fled on foot in the direction of Makaala Street.
Anyone with information about the suspects are asked to call the police department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311.
