Jack Law, founder and owner of Hula’s Bar & Lei Stand, welcomed Marti “The Marti” Kerton, left, and Kathi Mawae to the club’s 40th-anniversary party Wednesday in Wai?kiki. Kerton met Law in the early 1980s when her band, Hat Makes the Man, was headlining Hula’s sister club, the Wave Waikiki. Mawae met Law a few years later.
