TheBus will run on regular weekday schedule on Election Day
TheBus will run on a normal weekday schedule on Tuesday, General Election Day, even though it is a state and city holiday, city officials said.
The city had previously issued a news release stating incorrectly that its Oahu-wide public buses would be running on a holiday schedule, officials said.
City offices will be closed.
Refuse will be collected while landfills and transfer stations will be open.
Parks, municipal golf courses, botanical gardens and the Honolulu Zoo will be open.
The Neal S. Blaisdell Center Box Office will be closed. So too will all satellite city halls, driver licensing offices and People’s Open Markets.

On-street parking will be free, except for meters on Kalakaua Avenue along Kapiolani Park. Metered parking is also not free.
Traffic lanes will not be coned for contraflow.
