» Onyx is a man-made (synthetic) derivative of a natural insecticide, py-rethrin, from chrysanthemum flowers. A B1 story Saturday on the coconut rhinoceros beetle described Onyx as a natural insecticide.

» Dr. Richard Kelley, chairman emeritus of the Outrigger Enterprises Group, stepped aside in 2011 in favor of his son Charles Kelley. His son-in-law David Carey was named CEO in 1994. An article on Page B5 Monday gave incorrect promotion dates.

» David Myles Robinson, author of "Tropical Lies," is a retired attorney. A Page F6 story Sunday incorrectly stated that he is a former Hawaii Circuit Court judge. Robinson’s wife, Marcia Waldorf, is a former judge.
