Boy, 14, arrested for Orange County school stabbing
IRVINE, Calif. >> Police have arrested a 14-year-old boy they believe stabbed and seriously injured another freshman at an Orange County high school.
Officers were called to Woodbridge High School in Irvine at around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Authorities say a student stabbed another freshman during the lunch break, apparently after an earlier argument over a cellphone.
The injured boy was taken to a hospital in serious condition but police say the wound isn’t life-threatening.
The other boy was later found at his home near campus and arrested on suspicion of assault.
The names of the students weren’t released because they are juveniles.
