ON THE MOVE
The Hawaii Government Employees Association has named Caroline Sluyter as its communications officer. She has six years of serving in communications leadership roles in the state and city government agencies, including as a public information officer and community development specialist for the state Department of Transportation. Sluyter also served as an information specialist for theHonolulu Police Department from 2008 to 2012 and also is a former KITV4 news reporter.
Lillian Johnston Klein has been named director of advancement and alumnae relations for La PietraHawaii School for Girls. She has more than 20 years of experience in volunteer management, program administration, organizational development and fundraising. Klein was previously a major gifts officer for the American Red Cross Hawaii State Chapter and held positions at the University of Hawaii School of Social Work, the Center for Training Evaluation and Research of the Pacific, and Ha Kupuna, the National Resource Center forNative Hawaiian Elders.
