Police investigated a crime scene Sunday after a shooting was reported at about 6 a.m. in Kalihi.

The medical examiner identified the victims and classified the deaths of two men killed in a Kalihi shooting Sunday as a homicide, as police continue a search for a suspect or suspects.

Culver Rosokow, 29, died of gunshot wound to the head and Asano Samachy, 33, died of a gunshot would to the chest, the medical examiner ruled.

Police found the two men with bullet wounds in a dark colored Hyundai sedan on Auiki Street, in a commercial district off Sand Island Access Road, at about  6 a.m. Sunday.

A family member said Rosokow was a father with two children, who was planning to get married.

A witness said he was on Sand Island Access Road near the old Kilgo’s store when he saw a dark sedan appear to be chased by a white sedan.

Sam Owens said he heard yelling near the McKesson Building and saw a man get into a dark-colored sedan, then drive off, followed by a white sedan. The vehicles drove Diamond Head on Sand Island Access Road, turned around off the road near La Mari-ana Restaurant and Bar and then drove back up Sand Island Access Road toward Nimitz Highway at high speed.

"The first gunshot was ‘poom!’" said Adam Rapozo, who said he was about a block away from the shooting scene. "There was a pause, like a two-second pause. Then I heard ‘poom, poom, poom, poom, poom, poom, poom!’"
