During a business trip to Naha, Okinawa, Japan, in April, Doug Blagriff of Kane?ohe came across Sam’s Maui Steak House. He returned later for dinner, and restaurant staff members explained that the owner had named the business after his father, but they knew nothing about a Maui connection. The picture was taken by a cooperative passer-by using Blagriff’s iPhone.
