Bystanders find unresponsive man in Waianae shoreline waters

Paramedics treated and transported a man, whose age is estimated at 18 to 20, to a hospital emergency room in critical condition Monday afternoon after he was found unresponsive in shoreline waters edging the Waianae area, according to an Emergency Medical Services report.

The man was pulled from the ocean by bystanders at about 2:30. Paramedics responding to the scene, near Farrington Highway at Mohihi Street, where there is no Ocean Safety lifeguard tower.
