Pop up at Cocina: Gilbert Arangure and Eddie Lopez are holding another pop up Sunday at 667 Auahi St. in Kakaako. Los Dos Vatos features Mexican cuisine created by the two chefs. They have worked in various cuisines — Arangure at Spago and Wolfgang Pucks restaurants, as well as the Four Seasons in Aix-en-Provence, Southern France; and Lopez at the French Laundry in Napa Valley, Calif., and Grace in Chicago — but say their home cooking is Mexican. Now serving lunch: The Bistro at Courtyard Oahu North Shore, the new Marriott in Laie, is commemorating new lunch hours with gifts for customers today. Have a coffee experience: The Honolulu Coffee Experience Center will be the place to go to see, hear, smell, touch and taste Kona coffee at every stage from farm to cup. The 9,000-square-foot center features a vintage 1944 Probat-UG22 coffee roaster in action; a cupping lab with windows for observing barista training and roasting and tasting research; an exhibition bakery to watch pastries and wedding cakes made; a 3-D installation on the Kona coffee story; a gift shop; and a cafe serving breakfast and lunch. The center opens Thursday at the corner of Kalakaua Avenue and Kapiolani Boulevard (the former Hard Rock Cafe). Hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, with the cafe open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
