Honolulu firefighters assisted three hikers who lost their way after dark on the Aiea Loop Trail this evening.
The hikers called for assistance around 6:36 p.m.
Eleven fire rescue personnel from three Honolulu Fire Department companies responded and were able to locate the hikers by tracking the GPS signal from the mobile phone they were using.
A team of firefighters was able to hike to the trio and escort them off the trail.
No injuries were reported.
