Enter Turkey Trot and predict your finish-line time
More than 1,000 runners are expected to compete in the Honolulu Marathon Clinic’s 40th annual Turkey Trot Thanksgiving morning.
Prizes are awarded to runners who finish the closest to the time they predict for the 10-mile course.
The race starts at 6:30 a.m. at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand.
The cost is $7 if you register at honolulumarathonclinic.org or $8 the day of the event.
Marathon organizers say the 10-mile distance — and being able to maintain a steady pace over that distance — is important because runners often make pacing mistakes in the first 10 miles that haunt them in the latter part of a marathon.
