Comedian Andy Bumatai will host a weekly comedy series entirely in pidgin on KFVE beginning tonight.

The 30-minute show, “The Weekly Daily Pidgin,” will air Tuesdays at 7 p.m. Bumatai will host and produce the show.

Bumatai’s show was inspired by the success of his YouTube channel show, “The Weekly Pidgin,” which featured skits, reports and monologues in pidgin.

KFVE promises a fun nod to local culture that will resonate with locals familiar with pidgin. Bumatai said “The Weekly Daily Pidgin” will create a sense of nostalgia.

Bumatai has hosted other shows on KFVE, including “Toolin’ Around,” “The Andy Bumatai Show” and “In the Car.”
