The Hawaii Fudge Co. will introduce its sweets to Oahu residents at the annual “I Love Kailua” town party, where it will be one of many always-popular food vendors in the “Taste of Kailua” tents.
The Maui-based confectionery company has two locations on the Valley Isle, and it will open soon in Kailua, at 324 Kuulei Road.
At “I Love Kailua,” festivalgoers along Kailua Road can choose from among vendors including Anuenue Exquisite Tea, Agnes’ Portuguese Bake Shop, Big City Diner, Bob’s Pizzeria, Cactus, Chamorro Grindz, Grylt, India Cafe Curry Express, Island Yogurt, Lanikai General Store, Los Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant, Mama Nita’s Scones, Mexico Lindo, Shaka Shrimp, Slush Puppie Hawaii — Frozen Fun Mobile, Tat’s Shaved Ice, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Whole Foods Market.

The “Taste of Kailua” food booths are a highlight of the annual party, and this year marks its 24th anniversary as a fundraiser for the Lani-Kailua Outdoor Circle. Proceeds support the organization’s mission to beautify the Kailua area.
More than 50 Windward artists will also be on hand to offer their works for sale; the Lani-Kailua Outdoor Circle will have plants and orchids for sale; and the Kama‘aina Kids fun zone will have rides and activities for the keiki.
Area retailers will have Town Party special deals, community groups will share information and Castle Medical Center’s health fair will offer free screenings.
Entertainment will include performances by Mihana Souza, Pattye’s Hula Studio, Ron Artis II and the U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific Band, which earned roars from the crowd when it closed out last year’s performance with a pitch-perfect rendition of “Uptown Funk.”
The three-level parking structure at Longs will be available for parking, but organizers encourage attendees to walk, bike or bus to the event.
