Paiva, who gave up six hits and no walks, allowed his first two runs of the season and has a 1.04 ERA in 17 1⁄3 innings with 19 strikeouts.
>> Christian Donahue, ‘Iolani ’14: The Oregon State sophomore finished 7-for-14 with a double, three walks, five runs scored and two stolen bases to help the Beavers win two of three against Utah on Thursday and Friday. Donahue leads the team and is third in the Pac-12 with a .376 batting average.
>> KJ Harrison, Punahou ’14: The Oregon State first baseman finished 3-for-11 with a double, three walks, three runs scored and an RBI against the Utes.
>> L.J. Kalawaia, Saint Louis ’11: The UNC Greensboro right fielder went 2-for-12 with a double, five runs and two stolen bases in a three-game sweep of East Tennessee State over the weekend.
>> Rick Nomura, Punahou ’12: The Arkansas senior went 3-for-9 with a double to help the Razorbacks win two of three against No. 12 Kentucky over the weekend.
>> Jason Rosen, Punahou ’13: The Portland outfielder went 5-for-13 with two runs scored as the Pilots lost two of three against Pepperdine over the weekend.
>> Austin Darmawan, ‘Iolani ’13: The Washington (Mo.) junior shortstop was 4-for-9 with two walks, three stolen bases, four runs scored and two RBIs in a doubleheader against Spalding on Sunday.
>> Brent Sakurai, Mid-Pacific ’13: The New Mexico State third baseman doubled and scored three runs as the Aggies lost two of three against Cal State Bakersfield over the weekend.
>> Tyler Yamaguchi, Mid-Pacific ’15:The Northern Colorado third baseman finished 3-for-10 with two doubles, a stolen base, a run scored and two RBIs as the Bears lost two of three to Chicago State over the weekend.
>> Ryan Yamane, Punahou ’11: The Northern Colorado senior tripled and drove in two runs in a 5-4 loss to Chicago State on Saturday.
>> Tanner Nishioka, ‘Iolani ’13: The Pomona-Pitzer second baseman finished 7-for-14 with two doubles, two triples, six runs scored and nine RBIs in a three-game sweep of Caltech over the weekend.
>> Tyler Meditz, Kamehameha ’13:The Santa Clara junior finished 3-for-11 with a walk, a run scored and an RBI as the Broncos lost two of three to Gonzaga over the weekend.

>> John Oda, Moanalua ’14:The UNLV sophomore closed with an even-par 72 on Sunday and finished in a tie for eighth place at 4 under in the Mountain West Conference Championships at the OMNI Tucson National in Tucson, Ariz.
>> PJ Samiere, Punahou ’14: The San Diego State sophomore opened with a 3-under 69 before finishing in a tie for 22nd place at 1-over 217 at the MWC Championships.
>> Michael Fan, Kamehameha ’11: The Air Force senior shot the best round of the day for the Falcons on Sunday with a 1-over 73 to finish in a tie for 39th place at 7 over at the MWC Championships.
WOMEN’S GOLF
>> Kacie Komoto, Punahou ’13: The Northwestern junior shot a 1-under 71 on Sunday and finished in a tie for 17th place at even par in the Big Ten Championships at The Fort Golf Resort in Indianapolis.
>> Monique Ishikawa, Kalaheo ’12: The Columbia (N.Y.) University senior closed with an 81 and finished in 16th place at 22-over 241 in the Ivy League Championships on Sunday at The Stanwich Club in Greenwich, Conn.
WOMEN’S ROWING
>> Kanoe Shizuru, Kamehameha ’13: The Princeton junior helped the Tigers win the B4 race on Saturday with a time of 7:50.80 to beat Pennsylvania by more than 13 seconds. Princeton won all three NCAA-format races to retain the Class of 1984 Plaque.
SOFTBALL
>> Kylie-Rose Dickson, Baldwin ’13: The Utah State second baseman drilled a walk-off two-run homer in the bottom of the 10th inning to give the Aggies a 10-8 win over Colorado State on Saturday and finished 3-for-8 in the series with two runs and three RBIs to help the Aggies win two of three.
>> Kirstyn Namba, ‘Iolani ’12:The Utah State catcher walked and scored on Dickson’s walk-off homer and finished with a double, three walks and two runs scored in the series against the Rams.
>> Kamalani Dung, Kamehameha ’15:The Fresno State freshman pitcher gave up one earned run on four hits with four walks and four strikeouts in a complete game to improve to 7-0 in a 3-2 victory over Colorado State on Saturday.
>> Reina Furuya, Punahou ’12: The Penn State senior was 3-for-10 with two runs and two RBIs in a 2-1 series win over Iowa over the weekend.
>> Shearyna Labasan, Maryknoll ’15: The Western Washington freshman earned her second save, allowing one hit over three shutout innings with no walks and two strikeouts in a 7-1 victory over St. Martin’s (Wash.) to end the season. Labasan ended her first collegiate season 11-9 with a 4.21 ERA and nine complete games in 27 appearances. She struck out 72 in 1292⁄3 innings.
>> Krystin Kubo, Leilehua ’12: The Weber State first baseman went 2-for-9 with a double and drove in three runs to help the Wildcats win two of three against North Dakota over the weekend.
>> Kimberlee Souza, ‘Iolani ’11: The Washington senior utility player finished 3-for-11 with a walk and a run scored in the Huskies’ series win over Oregon State over the weekend.
>> Mikela Manewa, Kapolei ’12: The Oregon State infielder hit a solo home run in a 3-2 victory over Washington on Saturday and was 3-for-10 in the series with two walks and two RBIs.
>> Jadelyn Yadao-Valdez, Mililani ’14:The UNLV third baseman went 2-for-10 with four runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base in a sweep of New Mexico over the weekend.
>> Quirena Natividad, University ’12: The Pacific (Ore.) third baseman hit a solo home run in a 4-2 loss to Whitworth (Wash.) on Thursday in the Northwest Conference tournament. The Boxers, seeded fourth, lost both of their games in the double-elimination tournament.
>> Nalani Antonio, St. Francis ’12: The Pacific (Ore.) senior went 1-for-2 with a stolen base against Whitworth (Wash.).
MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
>> Micah Ma’a, Punahou ’15: The UCLA freshman hit .400 with 10 kills, 24 assists, five digs and a block assist in a four-set loss to Brigham Young in the championship match of the MPSF tournament. The Bruins earned an at-large bid to their first NCAA tournament appearance since 2006 and are the No. 2 seed. UCLA will take on the winner of Ohio State and George Mason on May 5 in a semifinal match at Penn State.
