Aloha Petroleum Ltd. will open 15 Dunkin’ Donuts locations on Oahu, Maui, Kauai and Hawaii island, with the first spot to open in 2017.
“This new business venture will complement our existing retail offerings throughout the islands and help us diversify our portfolio,” Aloha Petroleum President and CEO Richard Parry said in a statement.
“We are thrilled that Aloha Petroleum will be developing the brand throughout the Hawaiian Islands,” said Grant Benson, vice president of global franchising and business development at Dunkin’ Brands.
The national chain previously had done business in Hawaii through a franchisee that shuttered its locations years ago.
Dunkin’ Brands is also the parent company of Baskin-Robbins ice cream shops.
Aloha Petroleum is a subsidiary of Sunoco LP. It operates approximately 100 Shell, Aloha and Mahalo gas stations and 46 Aloha Island Marts, four Menehune Food Marts and two Subways in Hawaii. Aloha employs more than 630 Hawaii residents, the company said.
