Grinnell (Iowa) College senior Beth Tsuha, a 2013 Hilo High alumna, capped her college career as the 2017 Midwest Conference women’s swimmer of the year.
Tsuha won all six events she entered in the MWC Championships with victories in the 100-, 200- and 500-yard freestyles along with the 200 and 400 medley relays and 800 freestyle relay.
She broke her own school record in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1 minute, 54.10 seconds and fell .06 seconds short of her school record in the 100 free with a time of 53.16.
Tsuha helped the Pioneers win their fifth consecutive league title.
