Island Air’s flights arrived on schedule 81.5 percent of the time in February.
The state’s second-largest airline, which reported its monthly data Friday, also said it completed 97.9 percent of its 1,176 scheduled flights with 24 cancellations.
A flight is considered on time by the U.S. Department of Transportation if it operates less than 15 minutes after the scheduled arrival time.
“Over the past year we have been making steady improvements in our operational performance, including completing 99 percent of scheduled flights and having 88 percent of our flights arrive on time,” Island Air President and CEO David Uchiyama said.

The airline is shifting from 64-seat ATR-72 aircraft to 78-seat Q400 aircraft.
