The Hawaii soccer team added an international prospect for the 2017 season in former Australia U-19 player Kiri Dale, coach Michele Nagamine announced Thursday.
Dale, who has three years of eligibility, spent the past two seasons at Iona, including a redshirt year. She recorded an assist and 10 shots (six on goal) for the Gaels in 2016.
The 5-foot-7 outside back will be the only international player on the UH roster and is the seventh in program history, including the third from Australia. Dale joins a class of seven incoming freshmen.
“She played a lot at Iona and she has national team experience coming out of Australia,” Nagamine said. “She’s got good size, she’s athletic, and she’s got some pace.”
