The Thunder Baseball team swept a pair of games against Orcutt, Calif., on Friday to win the Babe Ruth 14u Pacific Southwest Regional in Surprise, Ariz.
In the first game, Thunder Baseball breezed to an easy 15-2 win, scoring four runs in the first inning. The win forced a winner-take-all game, where the Thunder emerged victorious, 4-1. The Thunder scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to earn the win.
Jaron Yoshikane, DJ Akiyama, and Josh Fournier were named to the All-Tournament Team. Fournier was also named the Tournament MVP.
