Paint a portrait of your pet while helping the Hawaiian Humane Society.
Wine & Design is taking reservations for the BYOB “paint-and-sip” event scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Aug. 22 at its studio at 25 N. King St. Owner/instructor Lesley White and her team prep the canvases based on pet photos provided in advance, then guide participants through the process of making art.
“It’s for anybody,” White said. “We give step-by-step instructions, plus we have a couple artists there to answer questions and help people along.”
Wine & Design in Honolulu has partnered regularly with the Hawaiian Humane Society since 2015 to “paint it forward.” Space is limited to 24 people, with registration and a color pet photo due by Aug. 15. The cost is $75 per person.
