Target plans to open its seventh store in Hawaii at Ala Moana Center on Oct. 22 and is hiring 450 to staff the store.
“Following the hiring of Target’s 450 new store team members, there will be approximately 1,470 Target team members across Honolulu,” Target said in a news release.
Zachary Orell, store team leader for Target, said, “We look forward to offering our guests Hawaii’s only two-story Target filled with a unique product assortment and a convenient location for guests to quickly access the new Target store.”

Island Air 93.2% punctual
Island Air reported Friday that it was punctual on 93.2 percent of its flights in July.
A flight is considered on time if it arrives within 15 minutes of its scheduled arrival time, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation.
The state’s second-largest carrier also said it completed 98 percent of its 2,068 scheduled flights.

Xerox Hawaii has named the following account manager appointments:
>> Taryn Kimura was previously an account services intern for Xerox Hawaii for a year while serving as a student adviser for the University of Hawaii Shidler College of Business.
>> Edwin Tejero joins the company with more than 25 years of experience in services management.
Kimura and Tejero will oversee the company’s state of Hawaii accounts. Tejero’s accounts will include federal government agencies.
