If you love Korean food and are planning a trip to South Korea, consider enrolling in one of chef Min-seon Kim’s daily classes at the Ome (Five Tastes) Cooking Lab in Seoul.
Classes are offered in English and kept to six students or fewer. Chef Kim will meet you at the Yangnyeong or Gyeongdong market to pick out the ingredients for the day. She then takes you to a traditional Korean home to prepare and enjoy the meal together.
Chef Kim has had many foreigners take classes with students from the U.S., Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the Netherlands and Russia. The classes will accommodate those with dietary restrictions due to religion or allergies.
The daily classes, which cost about $54, prepare not just a single dish but a meal, usually three dishes: a soup, an appetizer and a main dish. For example, a one-day menu could be bean sprout soup, pajun and bulgogi. Kim was recently featured on Arirang TV. She is also trained in Korean traditional desserts.

>> Today, 7:45 p.m.: Shinae pretends to be Seunghee. She pledges to overcome all that awaits her. Mipoong tells Youngae she wants to marry Jango. But Youngae advises against it, saying it’ll be difficult and to give it up.
“Distorted”

>> Monday, 7:45 p.m.: Moo-young and Suk-min believe there’s a veiled evil power behind Chan-soo. Moo-young makes a proposition to Chan-soo, using a conglomerate son’s hit-and-run accident as a bargaining chip. Chan-soo shows up with a gang, turning the place upside down. Moo-young chases after Chan-soo when he runs off.
>> Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: So-ra’s concern for Moo-young rises when she learns that Moo-young’s brother was involved in the falsified case. Still, Moo-young refuses to back down. Tae-won and Splash Team get ready for their articles.
“Into the World Again”

>> Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Hae-sung is shocked to discover the murderer. Min-joon tries to reveal the truth with Aunt’s testimony, but is put in a precarious state, trapped in Chairman Cha’s scheming. Hae-sung loses consciousness in a remote place and Jung-won is anxious when she can’t reach him.
>> Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Hae-sung and Min-joon start a food truck, while Jung-won waits for the competition’s result. Cha pasta gets social media hype. Hae-sung tries to cover up the accident from 12 years ago for Young-joon’s sake but gets a call from Ho-bang, who wants to supply information.
“Band of Sisters”
Episodes 37 and 38
>> Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Se-joon learns he married Dal-hee, an imposter, and not Se-ra Park. He tells her he wants to end the marriage. Chairman Goo discovers Kye-hwa’s wrongdoing and kicks her out of the house.
>> Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: Kye-hwa begs Chairman Goo on her knees. Deul-re asks Chairman Goo to forgive her this once. Choo Tae-soo, who’s lost everything, pours gas all over and lights a fire.
