Erik Scheive had season-highs of 20 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks and the Chaminade men’s basketball team held off Cal State Dominguez Hills 85-81 on Sunday at McCabe Gym.

Brett Reed had 14 points, Austin Pope added 12 points and 10 rebounds, and Dantley Walker and Justin Bridges each managed 10 points for the Silverswords (4-2).

Bridges hit a free throw with six seconds remaining for the final margin.

Mikey Hatfield scored 18 points for the Toros (2-6), who outscored the Silverswords 48-40 in the second half.
