What questions should we be asking when we read about the feelings and actions of people around the president who are preventing him from making serious, horrible and momentous mistakes?
Their actions are preventing the very mistakes that should bring on impeachment or application of the 25th Amendment to remove and replace an incapacitated president.
Through their perhaps patriotic actions, they are keeping an incompetent in office and perhaps enabling his re-election when the time comes.
How will Republicans ever reach a point when they actually take action to remove President Donald Trump from office, if the worst mistakes he wants to make are prevented?
Although I sympathize with them and their intent, those surrounding the president should do what he wants.
How will we ever feel assured that a competent future president will be able to do what he believes should be done for the nation, when some of his staff or a “senior official” can prevent those actions from being taken?
