The state Department of Land and Natural Resources has closed Manoa Falls Trail until further notice because of a landslide. A DLNR spokesman said the landslide occurred in the upper pool area and the pool is permanently closed to the public. Staff will assess the situation today.
Firefighters responded to reports of a loud rockfall in the area at about 5:22 p.m. Friday. Four HFD units staffed with 14 personnel were dispatched, according to Honolulu Fire Department spokesperson Capt. Scot Seguirant.
No injuries were reported.
